Knight´s Hall

Knight´s HallTHE VIBRANT HEART OF THE CASTLE

The historic Rittersaal (Knight's Hall) is far more than just a classic hotel lobby – it is the historic heart of our house, capturing you from the very first moment with its incredible atmosphere. On cold days, take a seat by the crackling fireplace, enjoy a cozy cup of coffee in the afternoon, or set the tone for your dinner with an elegant aperitif.

Here, surrounded by extraordinary wall and ceiling paintings and the majestic wooden staircase, you can wonderfully linger, chat, and let the day come to a pleasant close.

Historical DetailsA FIREPLACE THAT TELLS STORIES

A special highlight of the Knight´s Hall is our magnificent fireplace from the year 1604. It was carefully relocated to the newly created Knight´s Hall around 1920 and is artistically adorned with the coats of arms of Hilmar the Younger of Münchhausen and his wife. In the center of the fireplace structure, you can also discover an impressive depiction of the Resurrection of Christ. It is precisely these details that make the Rittersaal a place where history comes alive. A lobby that is always open to you and immediately conveys a sense of comfort.
